About NCABIS
The National Criminal Automated Biometric Identification System supports identity checks and police clearance for Ghana.
The Ghana Card is the anchor. An application is tied to the person named on that card.
Connected records help the Ghana Police Service keep identity checks consistent from one request to the next.
What the system is for
NCABIS is the Ghana Police Service platform for biometric identification and police clearance. It is how a person asks for a Police Clearance Certificate and how a recipient can check that a certificate belongs to the application it claims.
A Police Clearance Certificate is an official document of the Ghana Police Service. Employers, schools, embassies, and licensing bodies may ask for one. This website shows how that request, the status check, and the one-time token can sit on a single public site.
Built with national partners
The service shown here is powered with Consolidated Security Data Limited and Ferri ABIS. They provide the technology alongside the Ghana Police Service. The Ghana Card, issued through the national identity system, is the document used to match an applicant.
